Barb also specializes in Executive Benefits planning and Business Succession planning for closely held family owned businesses. On a personal note, Barb believes in living a balanced life by giving back. Giving back to clients, peers, our men and women in uniform and the less fortunate – including animals. She has served as a board member of an animal rescue in Puerto Rico, and is involved in numerous grassroots efforts to support the betterment of animals. Currently, Barb is serving on the boards of the Chester County Pennsylvania Red Cross and the Battle Ship New Jersey. She also serves on the leadership committees for the Women’s Initiative of the United Way and the Society of Professional Women for the Mainline Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, the most fulfilling accomplishment in my career is the Navy Commendation Medal for qualifying as the first female in U.S. history to earn the title of Special Airborne Communications Evaluator (Naval Aviation Observer Wings)." PERSONAL HISTORY Received Bachelors of Business Administration from National University and MBA from Florida Institute of Technology while serving in the U.S. Navy. Served seven years in the U.S. Navy as a Russian linguist; then as a commissioned officer, six years with the U.S. Naval Cryptology office. Worked for SEI Investments managing global business development, including research and implementation of global alliances and joint ventures in Mexico, Argentina, and South Korea. Managed the product development, marketing, and operations of over $17 billion in assets for institutional short-term investment programs. Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Recognized as one of the 2011 Philadelphia Women's Yellow Pages' Women of Accomplishment.
